Sep. 22nd, 2004 06:55 amI was wondering when "The reason I got a rabbit" was going to be updated a couple of days ago...and found that it had been updated yesterday! ^_^ Damn, really, really good stuff. I don't quite know where the story is going (since Akira is kind of clueless and moving by instinct and Hikaru is just plain odd) but I'm enjoying the ride.
Last night I was listening to the Sibelius Violin Concerto on the radio. I was curious because it is an important piece in Fujimi Symphony Orchestra...the main character spends a good part of a book (or was it a whole book?...several books?...I forgot...) trying to learn to play it. The actual narrative part was excellent, but now that I've heard it I think I can understand it better now. I have to listen to it more, though. One listen is not enough. *sigh* The thing is, I didn't really love the piece. Some interesting parts, but it's harsh sounding. I can see why in Fujimi images of snow, cold and empty whiteness dominated. Very very appropriate. :P Now I have to go find the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto because that's the piece he's learning in what I'm reading now...
