music to share
As I was driving home today, I actually let my CD changer switch from the PoT vocal albums I've been repeating over and over, and was surprised to find out that I had the L'arc~en~ciel album RAY in it...in any case, I was stuck in traffic so I started listening to the singles on the album. As I listened to HONEY, I was suddenly struck with the notion that it would work for Yukikaze...it's not really based on any solid reasons, but I decided to stick with that. And then I decided to try assigning anime to the other songs as well...and so I ripped the tracks to share...

After listening to it again with the lyrics in front of me, I decided this was from Jack's POV. ^_^

This one I initially thought fit Rah Xephon, and I stuck with that after listening to it again with the lyrics.

I have no clue what anime this might work with...it has to have some insanity and/or obsession in it, though. And death. In any case, I love this song. If anyone who hears this has any suggestions for anime that would be suitable, let me know!
As I was looking for the case to take the CD into my house, I found out it in fact wasn't in the car and that I had Utada Hikaru's album Distance in there. I decided to take it out as well and rip one of the singles from it and assign it to some anime.

This is a lovely ballad, and I was stumped for a while. I asked a friend who is really familiar with her music and with anime for his opinion, and he was blanking for a while (partly because he was watching the Rah Xephon movie at the time). Then we both came up with Saikano at the same time. The words fit quite well, and that sad, melancholy feel is perfect for that anime...though I've only read the manga, and not seen the anime. That is a brutal but fabulous story. I ranted so much about it that all of my friends had the ending spoiled. :D
I think I've been unduly influenced by AMVs and
petronia's Mirage of Blaze FST...^_^;
