our ride home was on a howling wind

Been on a covers kick recently, so I thought I'd share some of them. The list ended up decently long (well, longer than expected) so they are under a cut:

World Sound by DJ Shrapnel

Remix of Sakamoto Maaya's "Hemisphere," the Rah Xephon opening. It's...uh...interesting...

Mercy Mercy Me by The Strokes

Marvin Gaye!

I've Changed My Plea to Guilty by The Decemberists

I think this is a live version? In any case, Morrissey.

The Hallelujah Chorus by Roches

Yes, that Hallelujah Chorus. XDXD

These Boots Are Made For Walkin' by Yuna Ito

I have no idea who the original singer is. I've heard this in karaoke (thus the "original singer" for me is my friend who always sings this)...For some reason this version reminds me of Austin Powers.

This Love by Big Bang

Korean rap/hip-hop cover of Maroon 5's rock song.

And for more music, I uploaded all the Camino songs I have:

Vanish
Lives
Rasen
Go Mad Emotion

My favorite of the bunch is probably "Lives," which is rather upbeat. "Vanish" reminds me the most of the Koutetsu Sangokushi opening, though none of their older songs sound as polished or as smooth as that one. Arg, I need to find more of their music...Or find their album to buy. *sighs*

Via [livejournal.com profile] ariss_tenoh, cute kitten video, though I think only the first 50 sec are cute, the rest...not so much.
