Like I said, angsty (and conventional). Sometimes I want to smack the characters for being stupid and messing up their chances for happiness in this kind of story, but in this case I can totally forgive Shima because the situation is so deja vu for him. He's mostly repressed rather than emo, which is a state I prefer for my angsty characters. It also helps that Togawa is almost always outwardly light-hearted. XD
Shima's first day of work. He's stuck in an elevator with a guy who reeks of alcohol, which kills him because he can't stand alcohol. Turns out that the guy is his new boss Togawa:
Shima can't hide how he's so conscious of Togawa. Of course, Togawa can't help but notice it:
Togawa drags the anti-social Shima out to dinner, for which he apologizes afterwards. He then kisses Shima because "that's the way the mood was flowing." Shima protests, embarrassed that Togawa had kissed him on the street. Togawa conveniently interprets the protest as Shima protesting the public kiss and takes him to somewhere private for more...
Lovely chapter cover page:
At one point Shima pushes Togawa away, but an inconsequential thing reminds him of Togawa's kindness and his feelings and he breaks down:
Iin the end love wins out. When Togawa asks Shima, "Do you love me?" Shima responds honestly that he does:
Awwww....Notice that it's snowing? Why is a scene like this in snow that much more romantic?
Last but not least, the simple happiness of just being with the person you love:
Looks like it hasn't been picked up by a scanlation group? Hope it does get picked up...
