it's sunday already!
I spent some time on Youtube after coming randomly coming across a fabulous live performance of Berlin's "Take My Breath Away." I then ended up at Sarah Brightman's live performance of her song "You Take My Breath Away." And finally at Japanese singer KOKIA's "Time to Say Goodbye."
I skipped the side story about Kei and Takane first meeting and jumped right into "Kin no violin, Ki no violin" as I wanted to continue to read the main story right now.
Oh my, this book was a bit painful. Yuki likes to explain a bit too much at times. ^^; But I loved meeting Yuki's teacher and his "go back to Echigo!" He's such a character, and such an awesome mentor. It's amazing to me that Yuki was able to last under him for four years back in college.
I also loved Yuki coming to get the slightly drunk Kei playing incredibly sad piano music, and whispering in his ear "I love you" first.
Kei's POV was wonderful to read as it's such a contrast with Yuki's, especially after the crap in the main story. But oh man, his family....I'd forgotten about them. It's odd to think of Kei as only 23 yet so mature, but when you learn of his background it seems only natural that he'd seem much older. I love that the women are the scary ones. And I love Kei's random "I love him/you"s. It makes me want to pinch his cheeks. XD;
It's sad to realize just how much I'd forgotten about this series. It's nice, in a way, because rereading feels more like reading for the first time.
