tomomichi and was checking out various fanfics. I feel very left out, not being into Naruto. I really tried to like the series (both manga and anime), but it really did nothing for me. *sighs* There seems to be lots of good (angsty) fanfics out there...In any case, some I liked (for one reason or another):
Bucket of Roses bytongari, an Initial D fic with great Bunta/Takumi father/son interaction. Made me grin. Widely.
Longing byralphiere, a Gravitation fic with nice writing. Too bad this Shuuichi is OOC for me. I can't imagine Shuuichi being this contemplative. :P
untitled X fic by Rae is beautiful and doesn't go over the edge as angsty CLAMP stories can easily do.
In the Dragon's lair, fragment 3 bytheladymoon is, well, a fragment. A Fei Long x Takaba fragment set after NT5. It makes me shiver.
Temporary Culture Shock bykasugai_gummie is a FujiRyo that has only just started but...it's interesting...I look forward to seeing how it develops.
Changeling Child by Katharos is a cool Kaworu/Shinji AU Eva fic:
“Run through him,” Kaworu told Shinji. “Back to us.”
I love this line. And I could so hear Kaworu saying it. I could so hear Ishida Akira saying it. In English. Without a bad Japanese accent. And it'd be so cool...
And finally, I deny this. I quote a wise man who described it as "the unholy alliance of fake food and data storage." And wholeheartedly agree.

Date: 2005-05-13 05:29 pm (UTC)I like Naruto, but don't read the fanfic since the main pairing everyone loves (Kakashi/Iruka) make no sense to me at all. They have spoken exactly twice I think....
I missed that VF fic. Great fic. Though made me sad. XD

I really like those VF fragments, though that one is my favorite. I hope she writes more of them. Makes me speculate what will actually happen in the manga though, which is so pointless since there won't be a new chapter for months. *sigh*
