YAY!!!

Really good news! My mom has been released! No more spending hours at the hospital! ^_^ I must celebrate by...sharing more Nana CD music (yes, I currently am obsessed with the thing)!!

Twinkle by Kimura Kaera

REVERSE by TETSU69

I feel like a broken record, but I must say again that this CD is worth owning.

My friend noted that Microsoft had a parent's primer to computer slang explaining l33t sp34k, finding it highly amusing...and reading the explanation was unfathomably amusing to me as well.

A newspaper column that ran earlier this week, A foreign land sends greetings, reminds me of the stories about people complimenting people from Hawaii on their English, asking if they live in grass huts, etc. I hope these kinds of things don't happen anymore, but it used to really make me wonder if they missed the part of history class where you learn all the states...

The Mirage ML has recently just exploded with meaningful posts...which make me tired just reading them, forget replying to any of them. I'm glad others are taking the time to reply. ^_^;

Speaking of overwhelmed, Seki Tomokazu week at [livejournal.com profile] seiyuu scares me. I don't love his singing enough to download it all, and I don't know what's good. GAH!

Good news about your Mom. ^_^ Hope she feels a lot better.

I love Seki Tomokazu's signing, so I'm biased. But most of his Gravitation songs are really good. Actually I was going to post some rarer Gravi ones, but someone already did, which they got from me. I'm not bitter.... XD

Though I agree it's pretty insane.

downloading the songs too. ^_^

You were right about the Gravitation songs (at least the ones posted at seiyuu). Thanks for doing the original sharing. ^_~

I'm very glad to hear your mum's doing a lot better. Take care of yourselves. ^_^

Thanks for more music! (will listen once I sort out all these new files) That Microsoft article would be even more amusing if it wasn't meant in deadly earnest. *rolls eyes*

*gasp* WHAT?! You mean people in Hawaii don't spend their days doing the hulahula? I want my money back, my teachers lied to me! Actually, I want to sue the government for telling me I'm in Australia when there's no kangaroo in my backyard OR koalas up my so-not-a-gumtree! :P

The funniest things are those written in utter seriousness. ^_~

The ignorance of people is always amazing to behold, which is why the column amused me because he's just milking the situation for all it's worth. ^_^

[identity profile] mitethe.livejournal.com 2005-04-08 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
The article was hysterical. I feel very, very sorry for the inevitable person who takes it seriously. :P

Heh, it's a bit like how mainland Australians joke about Tassie (Tasmania) and them being an independent country but we don't really believe it (I hope).

Very good news about your mother indeed. Now for her to rest and get better and it will be a lot faster at home than in sickville (hospital).

And as usual, the Seiyuu comm scares me :)

And misconceptions about others' countries is common... but from an American to another American state (even if Hawaii is far away) = wow, don't they go to history classes?

[identity profile] insaneneko.livejournal.com 2005-04-03 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
My mom is doing so much better it's remarkable. Being out of the hospital was definitely better for her. ^_^

I've been completely ignoring the seiyuu comm this week. I mean, come on! Hayashibara Megumi??

That's what makes the whole Hawaii situation sad. I'm hoping that's all in the past and they at least know we aren't a foreign country.

[identity profile] mirichan.livejournal.com 2005-04-03 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
To tell you the truth?

I have no idea who she is... I know she's the lead in Slayers but I haven't watched it... I just checked her cast list at ANN and nope, very little stuff up there I saw...

That's another reason I don't like the female seiyuu week as much... most of them I don't know and not interested to know either... I've always been more interested in the men, anyway :)

[identity profile] insaneneko.livejournal.com 2005-04-06 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I've seen Megumi in tons and tons of stuff (Cowboy Bebop, Eva, Ranma, Shaman King, and much much more) and have heard a lot of her songs from the anime. Plus one of my friends collects ALL of her CDs so I've probably heard quite a bit of her music (whether I wanted to or not). She has some great music out there, though. I love the songs she sang for Shaman King, for example.

I'm the same, I'm more interested in the male VA. Exceptions are the females who play boys...

I know some of them... but just a few...3-4 max and I'm too tired of remembering how to spell their names right, but I mean Ai (Quatre-GW), Romi (Ed Elric, FMA) and Souji (PMK)... and I'm blanking on others... Guess its time to hit the sack :)

[identity profile] insaneneko.livejournal.com 2005-04-08 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
*laughs* VAs of Hikaru and Akira from Hikago, Al from FMA, Ryoma and Fuji from PoT...don't ask me for their names because I can name only half. :P I'm sure there are a lot more out there...

YAY regarding your mom!

And I think I almost peed myself regarding "A foeign land sends greetings". That's sad...so sad.

So um... how's your grass hut? Just kidding.

[identity profile] insaneneko.livejournal.com 2005-04-03 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks. :D

My grass hut's actually being renovated, so we're just camping out on the beach. Nothing like having broadband access while laying out on the sand...

heh. *waves to you from my igloo*
