I realized today that my flist consists of very few who rec fics. I thought about trying to find some LJs to friend, don't really want to go friending rec journals. I want journals that rec fics among other fannish and/or RL posts, like mine but not as retarded. I like reading what other people think about fics, especially if I "know" (in the internet sense, not in a real or biblical sense) them.
In any case, I continue to read fics while avoiding the browsing through archive deal. That just exposes me to waay to many bad fics and I'm not that desperate yet.

nindulgence is a cute and silly aliens made them do it fic. The details make the fic, as well as the two of them being guys. I love how they talk in code.

purna, in which (as the summary says) Rodney crosses a line. His reaction is sad and understandable, and John's attempt to comfort him is realistic yet sweet.
It's cool when a fic can totally make me believe in a type of fic I usually stay far away from. I always avoided any gender switching like the plague. Well...Sometimes it can be really good, like when John becomes a woman and realizes how good being a woman can be. I love how enthusiastic he becomes about the whole deal:
