Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] genkischuldich I've learned of Nekobukuro, a mini cat theme park (or more aptly put, a cat host club) in Ikebukuro. More specifically, it's in TOKYU HANDS. I go there every damn year, and yet I've never known of the existence of the place. >_<

I'm checking out the sites of the various circles participating in the Mirage event, trying to figure out which ones I want to hit, and at one site, 秋津島倭ノ国, there's the cutest manga illustrating the depraved depths of a fangirl's heart. The manga is here. "Translation" below:

*****

Panel 1:

I went with my younger brother to (store name) to buy a suit for his college matriculation ceremony.

Standing in for Mike, "Neesan" (Ayako), woken up and told to go with her brother by their parents-->
*sleepy*
Brother: Which one should I pick?
Standing in for Mike's younger brother, Takaya-san-->

Panel 2:

Gray?
Isn't this kind of cool?
Brother: How about gray?

Panel 3:

Mike: CHOSE A BLACK SUIT.
Brother: Why? (I love the befuddled look on the brother!)

Panel 4:

His older sister was a secret Mirage otaku
Mike's true feelings: I want to have a taste of Takaya-san's feelings standing next to Naoe
Mike's heart's voice: Takaya-saaan, Takaya-saaan
Mike: Oh, but you can use a black suit at weddings and funerals, too
Height difference: 9 cm
Mike's younger brother: Sis, what are you scheming?

Artist's explanation: A height difference of 9 cm, that is the difference in Naoe and Takaya-san's heights. An alluring height difference. Incidentally, Mike's height is 163 cm, and this younger brother's height is 172 cm. She will use even her younger brother for her infatuation. That is the spirit of the otaku.

How can I not at least take a look at this circle's table? XDXD

I'm not fond of all of AR TEAM's art, but I did see some that I did like: cute! and pretty! and cool! ^^

Eternal Prayer has an interesting fantasy AU WIP. A cute pic of Takaya and Naoe from the AU, and a nice (unrelated) pic of the two gazing at each other.

Trivia: In coffee shops "cups are usually filled little more than half way because this, for aesthetic reasons, is how green tea is served." (From here)

Paragraph I really got a trip out of: "Ramen really is an entire cuisine, a food group, a cult, a movement, an industry, an art, and the best damn meal for under ten bucks anywhere in Japan. Did I mention, the nectar of the gods? Forgive me as I wax rhapsodic." from an old ramen shop review. LOL.
