Talk about being sucked into doing other things. Last week I discovered an incredible site of Gundam Seed fics. Wow, they were very extreme stories, but they felt like they could be animated! I swear it. It has extreme elements in the stories (like homicidal maniacs, drugs, etc) but I've seen more overdone stuff in regular anime. One story, called "Fly Me to the Moon," had this Kaguya-hime theme going that was utilized really well. Even the end, which made me go "huh?", was so anime-esque it was great. *sigh* I love good fanfics.

But this week I was sucked into reading Fujimi Symphony. I had previously bought the first two volumes of the novels, and finding them good, I bought I think around seven more. I have to reread them, having gone through the novels like mad to find out what happens, but...now I want more. :P Which means another order to amazon japan.

Reading the novels made me curious about the anime, but I was talking to a friend who told me it didn't make sense. I guess in order to jam the first novel or so into an OVA (or whatever it was) they had to cut and paste. *sigh* Having just watching "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," I'm not sure if that's something I want to see. Oh, I loved the third movie for what it was, but at the same time, I was unhappy at certain decisions on what to cut and what to add to the film. And it necessarily had to skip a lot of stuff. Ah well. I already knew I loved the books more, I just got it confirmed again.
