yamane trauma and yukikaze goodness

yamane_ayano had the Viewfinder and Ikoku Irokoi Romantan drama CDs available for download, so I figured, why not? Well...listening to the beginning of Ikoku, Suwabe as Al is good, but...I don't know, I don't quite think he fits. I racked my brains for some other VA that would fit my image of Al better, but came up with nothing. The guy who plays Ranmaru is perfect though. Ranmaru's roughness comes across very very well...though for me, having only listened to the first several tracks, what I really enjoyed were the non-Japanese people saying "no" over and over again, and the bartender on the ship repeatedly saying "I can't speak Japanese" to Ranmaru.
I wasn't planning on actually listening to all of Viewfinder (too much sex) but I wanted to hear the voices of Asami and Takaba. Well...I think that was definitely a mistake. Koyasu as Asami???? My entire being rejected that the moment Asami spoke and I instantly recognized that voice. >_< I heard maybe one line by Takaba's voice, but he sounds okay. I am too afraid of randomly skipping around to hear more of him though, in case I come acrossAsami Koyasu talking or *shudder* sex scenes with Asami Koyasu talking dirty...
I was looking for something else online when I came across several Yukikaze ficlets by
nekojita at her website cat's dreams. I liked them. They were short and two of them are set before the OVAs so I assume they are the writer's suppositions, but something about them makes me want to read them again. ^_^

Restraint [NC-17]
Reality [NC-17]
I particularly liked Restraint...loved the beginning...
There was a heaviness to flying, a sense of restraint. There was the effect of gravity, the weight of his flight suit, the tight bindings of the straps keeping him still as Yukikaze twisted through the sky. He was held tightly and in place while given utter freedom, a paradox that he seemed to delight in. Nowhere else could he let go of everything and be assured that he was still safe, still… still ‘home’.
At least, he’d always thought that he’d only find that feeling while flying, while strapped in to Yukikaze. But here he was, kneeling on Jack’s bed, his upper body and face pressed into the soft mattress, a weight settled on his back, restraints in the form of the long, muscular arm around his waist, the large, strong hand gripping his right shoulder at the junction of his neck. Pinned immobile except for slight movements, and he was utterly free. He was soaring in pleasure.
Something about how being restrainted sets him free appeals to me a lot. :D
