sunday night fangirling

I have to get in as much fangirling over the weekend before it ends. I hate being moderately sick and then getting a headache. I worked all day yesterday and slept all day today. ;_;

In any case, forget the unpleasantness and onto the fangirling. First of all...

I got asked if I wanted to translate a one-shot by Minase Masara. I read it, liking the art and enjoying the story. It didn't hit me for a while that it was the artist who did Empty Heart. I of course had to dig up the manga and read it again. Ah, what a great story. I love how casually gorgeous Takumi is. As for the one-shot, I will definitely be reccing it when it's scanlated. ^_^

Speaking of scanlations, Sleepers Volume 2 Chapter 1 is out from No Deadline. I do like this manga a lot. ^_^ The art is nice, and the story is getting more complex and interesting...

Oh yes, I finally bought my plane tickets to Japan. Will be going in June for almost two weeks. First Tokyo to go fangirl crazy and attend the AkiHika event Otte koi (140 circles to be at the event!!!), then will bum over to my relative's house. Am thinking of taking an overnight trip to Matsumoto-city, but that means making housing arrangements for that (and I'm extremely lazy). My motivations for the trip are that Matsumoto Castle is a) one of the best original castles and b) a setting in Mirage, and it's in Nagano prefecture and has onsens (hot springs). XD We'll see if my fangirling (and onsen-loving) overcomes my not wanting to do anything inertia.

...Though my inertia is being tested by my desire to attend Hashira, the TezuRyo event on September 23. I can do a three night package for under $1,000 for room and air...Just take three days off work, fly in on Friday and fly back on Monday...Too bad none of my friends are fans and up for insanity, then I could drag them with me. *sighs*
