(NOT) manic monday

OMG today was not very stressful. I need every day to be like this. You know, productive, but not horribly stressful or upsetting.

Does anyone keep up with the recent Bleach chapters, have chapter 154 (I think...the chapter right after the last one in volume 17) either raw or scanlated, and is willing to share with me? Onegai?

Been meaning to post about this for this whole month, but with one thing or another it got shoved aside. Read an extremely amusing short story referring to Tanabata by Yamaguchi Kai at トオイホシカラキタショウネン, 七月五日. The best explanation for Tanabata ever: Since the couple Hikoboshi (Altair) and Orihime (Vega), who can only meet once a year, have tons of sex then, the spilled semen turned into a river and became the Milky Way. Thank you, Nanjiroh, for one of the foulest explanations ever. ^_^;

Before a team meeting, Inui asks his teammates if they know what happened on that day (the 5th). After some very obscure answers, he answers that it's the day the bikini was born. They comment how girls wear boy shorts nowadays, and guys where baggy shorts. They wonder what guy could get away with wearing a "guy bikini" (speedos?), and Ryoma starts to say "Bucho is..." when they burst into laughter, making very rude comments. Ryoma continues, saying that Tezuka is behind them. Everyone plugs their ears at the same time before Tezuka yells that everyone has to run laps after the meeting. ^^

Because I am in such a wonderful mood (for once) I decided I needed to share music. And of course, wanting to share most excellent music, I decided on the Arslan Senki OST 1. Damn, I love this soundtrack.

And since I finally watched anime and read manga I will babble about them as well. (I can't believe how great I feel right now! I hope this feeling lasts till tomorrow...) I saw the first 7 episodes of Ayatsuri Sakon (why 7? Because the first two story arcs were 3 and 4 episode long, respectively...). First thing that I thought when Sakon opened his mouth was SHINJI!! And naturally I immediately thought "Nigecha dame da! Nigecha dame da!" ^__^

The stories were a bit simplistic, but fun to watch. The first arc I didn't care for, the second I enjoyed a lot more. I was looking forward to who'd be dying, and who'd end up the culprit. And of course the music is just so lovely. I will have to watch the four more episodes I do have soon.

I also read the first volume of the Jump manga D Grayman (or whatever it's called) which my friend lent me. Not sure what to make of it yet. The art's pretty good, there are some wacky characters (always a plus), but it's just so...JUMP. I will be borrowing the next two volumes to see if I'll actually like it.

Read a disturbing manga by Shimizu Yuki (of Love Mode fame) called Ze. It's about a household of "kamisama" (紙様）, beings made of paper that take on the wounds of their masters. WEIRD. Very very weird.

Finally, got to read Sex Pistols 4. I was disappointed in the story about Yonekuni's dad and Kunimasa's dad. It didn't do anything for me, and there wasn't even sex to make it somewhat interesting. BUT BUT BUT it was made up for by the first three chapters, where we learn that Yonekuni and Kunimasa's mom (and Shinobu and Manami's dad) is a total and utter bitch. O_o She gets what she deserves, tho! Yes! Get bitch slapped by your wife! I was very happy at the Kunimasa/Norio moment. It was sweet. ^___^

I'm thankful for the family tree. Otherwise I'd have remained completely and utterly confused. (But I still don't get how two females make babies. Did I miss the explanation somewhere?)
