I did pick up some J-pop while in Japan, partly because there were a new albums by artists I like. After taking a quick listen on the listening stations in the stores, I ended up buying a bunch. Haven't gone through all of them yet (partly because I'm currently addicted to one evil evil album), but I want to share some of the highlights of what I have so far.

Bonnie Pink's new album Golden Tears is absolutely wonderful. The whole thing is so listenable, I've been listening to it over and over again. I chose two songs to share. I highly recommend buying this album, it's so worthy. ^__^ Nichi-nichi-so is probably my favorite song on the album. It...is just addictive. The chorus keeps running through my head. Monster I chose simply because it has a different feel to Nichi-nichi-so. Another disgustingly addictive song.

I also picked up Amano Tsukiko's latest, A Moon Child in the Sky. Frankly, I was disappointed in the album, but there were two songs I thought were good. I especially like Hisui.

A random purchase, Monday Michiru's Free Soul Collection, was all due to the first track, a great cover of an oldie. She has an amazing voice.
