Yay! I am such an idiot. Here I was wondering why amazon japan wasn't shipping out my order...I finally went to the site and checked. I had two items with long lead times holding it up. Doh! They weren't things I needed (as if anything I'm buying is something I "need"), so I took them off. Hopefully my order will be shipped soon!

Cool site discovery of the day: A Dictionary of Units of Measurement. While I was looking up "in wg" and "in wc" to make sure they were actually the same thing (they are), I stumbled across it. I learned that the "dollar" ($), besides being a monetary unit, is also used in nuclear engineering "to describe the 'reactivity' of a nuclear reactor. " Included are informal units such as "donkey power" and "dog year." I fought the urge to waste time poking around.

I hate not being able to reply to comments in posts with not worksafe content at work. *sighs* I wonder when I'll be able to go home today...
