Oct. 18th, 2006 07:51 amI've come to really dislike embedded youtube videos in community LJs and blogs that aren't put under a cut. -_-
I love the crazy things publishers come up with. I randomly downloaded the first volume of a novel called Jun'ai Romantica, idly wondering how it was connected to the insanely popular Junjou Romantica manga series. I was very confused to see a manga short at the beginning of the novel only to find the characters in the novel itself having nothing to do with the manga...or so I thought. When I got to the end and the manga short that came after that...it all clicked. The novel was the supposed BL novel the seme in Junjou Romantica was writing based on him and the uke!! From what I can remember of the manga, the novel characters have very little in common with the manga characters...I think. I just might have to pick up the manga now, so that I can read it carefully and compare with the novel.
I feel guilty having enjoyed the novel so much. It's...very cliched, but just plain fun to read. It just revels in it's "pure love" BL cliches so much, and it's just so the opposite of what I can remember from the manga! Plus, the manga shorts with the uke having a cow at finding the books based on him are hilarious. ^___^ I'd summarize it, but I'd think someone has either done that or is translating it already...
I have downloaded volumes 2 and 3 and hope they are as fun as the first one. :P
