It's about a normal high school student with a deadbeat dad who ends up with a huge debt to the yakuza. Kid goes to see said yakuza, is insolent, and gets raped. He's then turned into yakuza's fuck-toy. He tries to get help but is found out and punished. He finally hits his limit during the punishment and breaks, tries to "fly" off the balcony but is prevented. He becomes a vegetable. Yakuza, who is supposed to be a cold bastard, finds that he doesn't like kid broken. So he offers to give the kid something. First the kid asks for his freedom, but the yakuza says no. He will give the kid something that money can buy. So kid mentions that he wants a dog (he's never been able to have one). He doesn't think yakuza will actually come through, but promises to eat if he gets a dog. Surprise, surprise, dog shows up the next day! And kid suddenly has the will to live and thrive so that he can play with the dog! Amazing, no? There is softening between the two and they are almost sweet. Then kid gets kidnapped and is saved by yakuza. This seals the deal, they confess their love to each other and live happily ever after. Or at least have some (a lot of) sex with love.
This fails mostly because the whole kid immediately revives thanks to a puppy thing was stupid. I was basically with the program up until this point. But another problem I had was that the cold blooded yakuza just wasn't cold enough. The author confesses in the afterward that she did fail in that regard. I'm impressed she didn't write total crap, so will give her a pass on this one. But if you want to read a *real* cold-blooded asshole yakuza boss fucks up a normal kid's life and makes him his kept boy story, read Natsukage by Mizuhara Tohru. The art is UGLY, but the relationship is appropriately extreme and awful. Yet still satisfying.
