Pot...Mirage...Haru...

The trailer for the PoT movie here...looks to be utterly ridiculous and over the top, but now I want to watch it! I mean, the exhibition match turns out to be an underground event where rich people bet great sums of money, and Seigaku is pressured to lose so that the guy who invited them can make tons of money...I guess he must be the sneering "I am the villain" stamped on his forehead guy in the preview...As for Ryoga, don't know if he's really Ryoma's brother, but he does look more like Nanjirou than Ryoma does. *laugh* Secret love-child!
petronia translated the first chapter of Saiai no anata e from Mirage (which is covered if rather quickly in the TV series), and what a very nice translation it is!!
Speaking of Mirage, I heard a short drama of the scene in volume 40 where Takaya says goodbye to Naoe...*sniffle*...so sad...
And for
mirichan and any other people who have the Hermit Crab chapter of Haru and can't read Japanese...
Kato wakes up at home to find a note from Iwaki asking him to pick him up when he's done for the day and to buy something to take to the hospital when they go to see Yoshizumi. He remembers Iwaki waking him up to say he's leaving and tells him he's leaving a note on the table. Kato calls himself a happy wife, with such a kind, perfect husband, adding that men are best after 30. ^_^ Kato then thinks about how Iwaki is paying for everything right now, and he considers begging for work. But he berates himself for thinking such thoughts and to focus on the movie. He tells himself to do what he can right now, and wants to surprise Iwaki by doing the housework and making everything clean. His attention is caught by the TV. Some reporters are squealing over how cute painted shells for hermit crabs are.
Kato is waiting at the studio for Iwaki. Onozuka is with Iwaki, as Iwaki is playing his older brother in the new drama where Onozuka is the main character. Onozuka jokes that Kato is lucky to have such a money making wife and that he should just become his manager. Kato responds by smacking him lightly and saying that he'd be anxious about Iwaki and could never focus on work. Onozuka adds that they'd never be able to shoot with Kato making a fuss that Iwaki shouldn't look a certain way in front of people.
In the car on the way to the hospital, Iwaki comments that he is surprised that Kato was able to laugh at Onozuka's jibe. Kato brushes it off as a joke, saying if he responds seriously it'll seem like Onozuka had hit the mark.
Both Yoshizumi and Iwaki are amazed and exasperated that Kato had bought a hermit crab. Kato thought it'd be okay since they didn't make noise. Kato relates that he thought actors were like hermit crabs. They move from one role to another, transferring their residences. They were especially similar to gaudily painted hermit crabs. But both Kato and Yoshizumi who is hurt has no new shell to move to, so Kato tells Yoshizumi to definitely come back to the shell he has now.
At home they wonder what they should do with the hermit crab, since they are often not home. Kato starts undressing Iwaki, who resists saying he wants to talk seriously with Kato. He can't accept Onozuka's words today, saying it was a horrible thing to say. Kato kisses him to quiet him, and then says that he wouldn't be able to rally if Iwaki had said it to him but that he didn't care about what other people said. He adds that to forgive or not was his problem and not something Iwaki could do something about (I really like Kato's expression when he says this...damn, he looks cool...I could hear Miki's voice saying this too... ^_^). Kato leans back and asks Iwaki how he would react if he told him it was hard for him to financially burden Iwaki. Iwaki tells him that what is his is also Kato's, and he'll get mad if Kato is feeling hesitant in that way. Kato goes on to say that he knows Iwaki would say that, and knows that Iwaki doesn't think of Kato as someone who doesn't feel bad about depending on Iwaki, but that he shouldn't try to take jobs just for the money. He doesn't want to bother explaining it to other people. He's satisfied if Iwaki understands. Iwaki apologizes for being oversensitive. Kato pushes himself on Iwaki, saying how cute Iwaki is when he's honest and that only his body should be oversensitive. Iwaki protests, and Kato asks, "You're saying you aren't?"
Iwaki blows Kato and makes him come. He asks who's the oversensitive one. Kato, panting, complains that Iwaki is too good. He tells Iwaki to just wait, that he'll quickly recover. When Iwaki tells him he can't wait that long, that stirs Kato right up and he is immediately ready for more. Afterwards, Iwaki suggests they return the hermit crab to the sea, and Kato could surf as well. Kato hesitates, not wanting to get hurt and not wanting to just do things he likes doing when Iwaki has to work. Iwaki tells him he works because he wants to. He asks if Kato's surfing isn't good enough to show him. Kato rises to the challenge, saying if he doesn't overdo it now he won't show a shameful figure.
At the beach, Kato comes in from the water and says he's finally getting his surfing sense back. He remembers that the last time he surfed was for a shoot, adding that it feels good to ride the waves without worrying about other people's eyes. Iwaki dismisses that comment, saying Kato was very conscious of Iwaki's gaze. Kato confesses then, saying Iwaki was looking at him with such cool eyes he did his best. Iwaki notes that Kato's exhibitionist streak never goes away. Kato replies that he's quite a show when he's by himself, but that he can't really show anyone else other than Iwaki.
