loveless: the initial reaction

insanenekoI did watch Loveless last night...what a beautiful anime. And they made Soubi a beautiful man. *_*
One thing that I'm not sure I like is the change in Ritsuka's character. I noticed people over at the comm mentioning this as well. I am not violently against this change as long as they can make the anime work on its own, so we'll see.
Soubi's voice is perfect! He does not remind me of Kajimoto, so no weird PoT references to interfere with my enjoyment of the series. Minagawa-san does a great job with Ritsuka, I'm not squeeing only because Ritsuka's different character threw me off. :P
I'm not 100% sold on the BGM. I think at some points it's overdone. The animation is pretty dramatic, I don't think they always need dramatic animation AND music...but the feel of it I think they got right.
I guess my reaction is a bit muted, but I'm trying to resolve my mental image of how the manga would be like animated and the actual anime. I am however in a puddle of goo at the sheer loveliness of it all...
I can't believe at how...mellow I feel. I think my day of anticipation and lack of sleep is finally catching up now that I've been fulfilled...
