Japanese PoT fanfiction site list

I've been having too much fun fangirling over Japanese PoT fanfiction lately...I felt an urge to list my favs for any people who can and are interested in reading Japanese fanfiction. So I listed the ones that came to mind immediately and had been bookmarked, culled from the hundreds of pages I slogged through these past two years or so. ^_^


ルビィに恋したアメジスト
A Ryoma-uke site with a wide range of pairings and stories, from TezuRyo, FujiRyo, AtoRyo, and KikuRyo (the major ones she writes) to minor pairings. Amazing writer, who manages to balance angst and believability, as well as writing hilarious comedies.

Love Egoist
TezuRyo writer who writes very understated stories with more or less IC characters. Also has very nice fanart.

王子日和
Another Ryoma-uke site with a wide range of pairings. Her main ones nowadays are FujiRyo and AtoRyo.

Shell
More or less IC TezuRyo. The long-running story "Live" is really, really good.

蜜月愛人
TezuRyo with a snarky Ryoma and a slightly hetare Tezuka.

トオイホシカラキタショウネン
TezuRyo site. The stories on the site are pretty good, but her best stuff are her doujinshi.

Mad Clown Web
TezuRyo site. My favorite story is "Sakura Drops." There is also a long-running still-ongoing non-slash AU that has a huge cast of characters and a complex and fascinating story.

a Day in the LIFE
Various Ryoma-uke pairings, but the main one I remember is FujiRyo. Lots of sap, but the kind that pulls at my heart rather than makes me gag.

Petit Blue
Main pairings are TezuRyo and AtoRyo. I enjoy all her fics, but I wish she'd finish the Tezu+FujixRyo fic "Isotope"...it was intriguing and she stopped right where it got really good...But I'm not holding my breath because it's been at least a year since she's updated it...

FujiRyo. I haven't read the fics on her site yet, but I absolutely fell in love with one of her doujinshi I own, and so HAD to add her on my list.

This is not helping my resistance to being sucked back into raving addiction to the series. Damn you Jump series, why can't you just let me go? (So what have I been doing? Downloading all the TeniPuri episodes I missed first time round. Ha Ha.)

I should do up a little review/list of the Initial D fic I've been reading. The good and the...not-so-good. XD

I have totally not read Initial D fiction...I guess I didn't want another monster fandom to take over my life...

I'm probably going to add more to this list periodically as I find new ones that must be recc'd. ^_^

It's no fun being a responsible adult - I can't ignore work in favour of reading manga and fanfic and watching anime. ;_;
And Jump series are the worst. I'm like a yoyo when it comes to them - just when I think I'm over a series, they inevitably reel me back in again with some new, shiny tidbit. I can never make a clean getaway!

Strangely enough, despite Initial D's massive popularity the ficcing fandom is pretty tiny compared to behemoths like TeniPuri and Gundam Seed. I found a lot links to sites that no longer existed and a fair number that are still open haven't updated in months or longer. Luckily, there's still enough out there to keep me happy for now. ^_^

Please do keep adding to this list! I think it'll make an excellent reference for crazy folks like us. XD

I hear you on the responsible adult thing. How I wish the internet was this developed when I was in college (and had so much free time)...damn, I feel old saying that.

Initial D is an old fandom, so many people have already moved on. I am witnessing that with Hikago, but some awesome sites still remain so my love for Hikago burns on. ^_^

*laughs* We only feel old because we're in anime/manga fandom where teens run rampant. I wish I could re-live my uni years now that I know better ways of using all that free time.

Initial D is an old series but considering the fact that it's still hugely popular and Fourth Stage is currently airing I would have thought there'd be more fandom activity. :/

I watched and read quite a lot back in college, but I could have been that much more absorbed! I could have gone to doujinshi events during those long trips to Japan during summer vacation...^_^;

I'm not that surprised there isn't more because a lot of fans are pretty quick about moving onto a new fandom. *shrug*

If only I'd got the hint and changed my major to Japanese - then I'd be able to claim that all the manga I buy is for "academic purposes". XD

Fans are a capricious bunch. I really missed the boat on Initial D, should've got into it years ago. *sigh*

Yeah, I actually watched the first episode when it first came out in Japan and dismissed it. I never gave it the chance it deserved. Now, after that and PoT and Hikago, I can't dismiss a series just based on the premise...because you never know...

Wow, that far back? When I first heard about a series with the ridiculous title of "Tennis no Oujisama" I laughed and when I first saw the artwork of Initial I said "no way". And now look where I am. Damn all sports manga and their addictiveness!

Yeah, before widespread Internet distribution the local Japanese video stores were our sources of new anime...they'd have TV shows taped in Japan and rent them in their stores...that's how I saw a lot of my anime back then.
