Partly in thanks for all the lovely music I've gotten recently, I wanted to share some tracks from Songs from a Secret Garden, the first album by a violin and piano duo who play lovely and soothing music. I only own two of their albums, this one and White Stones (which I've discovered is in a "have the case but not the CD" state ;_;), and they were both good. One of these days I'll pick up some more of their music.

Nocturne
This is the first track of the CD, and a perfect introduction. The haunting vocals that begin the piece never fail to captivate me. Not to mention the violin that takes up the melody after that.

The Rap
A piece with a faster tempo that is...just nice to listen to. And it's a nice break from all the melancholy of the rest of the album. ^_^;

Sigma
Just plain beautiful.

Music can make the unbearable sort of bearable. How powerful is that?

You're welcome! Great background music, isn't it? I wish I could find the other album, since I'm pretty sure that one was better. :P

Thank you for sharing this music. *hugs* A violin/ piano duet sounds very lovely. *_*

(I'm having trouble playing it with Windows Media, though. It didn't recognize the m4a format. Do I need to use another sort of player for it? ^^; I think you've posted this format of music before, and I don't remember having a problem. I wonder if perhaps it's just a bug my Media player caught...? o_O;)

Dang, you can't play it? I'm not the person to ask, because I don't use WMP. From doing a quick search online, I think there is a way to get WMP to play it with a plugin or something (read this thread (http://www.osxhax.com/archives/000046.html) which may or may not be helpful)...but you should ask someone who uses Windows a lot. ^_^;

I personally use Winamp at work to play mp4 files that I bring from home (it was the easiest solution for me, since I didn't want to fiddle too much with the work computer).

I use an older version of winamp to play all my music files - it's very easy to install and use and takes up less computer resources than the latest versions. If you like, I can upload the version I use and what plugins are needed to play m4a files. ^_^

Thanks! Looking forward to listening (am attempting to make some headway through my giant pile of unlistened-to music). ^_^
