why I love fox news

Last week the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature was announced. I first heard the story on Fox News, as I am unfortunately subjected to having that "news" channel on during lunch hour. I usually try to ignore it, but the story was short and it kind of made me sit there blinking in disbelief. The report consisted of an announcement of the winner, followed by a list of the names he had called the U.S. (with on LARGE onscreen text--in case you're hard of hearing and don't have closed captioning on?). What baffled me was that there was no mention of his literary accomplishments. I later found out via more normal news articles about how he's considered the most influential British playwright of his generation and is known for using silences very effectively, blah blah blah. They also did mention how he's outspoken politically and has said all kinds of things against the U.S, but farther down the story after the literary stuff. I love how to Fox the entire news story consisted of his political views (and not even in any kind of context, either). How typical.
Still didn't prevent me from feeling that I was in la-la land. How do they get away with this crap?
