Some silly TezuRyo.

I am not a big fan of this artist (mainly because I can't stand how Tezuka is drawn), but I love love love the cover for the not-really-Karupin-like-but-still-damn-cute-mad-at-stuffed-double-Karupin. And I like Simple Pain's novels. (The artist is guest appearing in a doujinshi produced by a novel-oriented circle, basically. For me, the manga is just omake to the novel)

Ryoma: Oh man
Ryoma: It suddenly started raining
Karupin: Nyaa~~~
Ryoma: And the bus hasn't come...
Ryoma: And on top of that, I'm late

Ryoma: Can't be helped
Ryoma: We're going to run
Ryoma: Yo
sfx: soaking wet

Tezuka: ...
Tezuka: What is with you?
Tezuka (small): And here I was thinking you were late
Tezuka: You're totally wet!
Tezuka: What about an umbrella?
Ryoma: I didn't have one
Tezuka: They sell them at convenience stores, don't they?
Ryoma: Too much trouble
Tezuka: Were there no buses?
Ryoma: I missed it
Tezuka: I see...
Tezuka: I understand completely

And it was at this point that I realized that I had bent my doujinshi while scanning, panicked, and decided to scan the last page of the little story because it was too funny to leave out before stopping (and stroking my poor damaged book). Basically what happens in the story (after some other amusing moments and Tezuka initially resisting because they have practice but eventually capitulating because he's just-a-man and Ryoma is insistent) is sex. The next morning...

Last page:

Voice: Absent?...The Captain and Echizen?
sfx: smiling
Fuji: That's right
Fuji: Echizen went to the hospital for a particular pain in the "lower back," and Tezuka is taking care of a relative's child
Kikumaru: How obvious
Oishi: That's a lie!
Momo: Like I can take something like that!
Fuji: Fufufu...
Tezuka: Was Fuji able to deceive everyone?
sfx: rub rub
Ryoma: Mm....

Why are you trusting Fuji, Tezuka? I love that last bit with Fuji, and Tezuka and Ryoma's conversation when Ryoma first enters all wet. Typical Ryoma replies. *pets Tezuka* I don't know why Tezuka is living in an apartment (alone?) and I still can't accept the artist's Tezuka, but it's amusing. ^^;
