houses need lots of windows

I've been meaning to do a lot of things, but none of it got done tonight. In fact, I didn't even bother to eat dinner. I think reading manga more than makes up for that. Right?
I've been seeing mention of the upcoming Princess Princess anime here and there, so I figured I'd take a look at the manga again. I could only find volumes 2 and 3 so I skimmed through them. I didn't read them because a lot of it had Tohru and Yuujiroh by themselves...and frankly they bore me. I guess that's why this manga isn't one of my favorites by Tsuda Mikio. I like Sakamoto because I like how everyone revers him and I loved Family Complex. I like Makoto because he was so cute in Kakumei no Hi. I even like the student council president because he's devious and manipulative and gorgeous (he needs to be in kimono all the time). But the two main characters? *yawns* Please, either give me guys I can care about, or some hot boy-boy sex. I'll still give the anime a try, though.
I also quickly read through volumes 1 thru 4 of Bokura no Oukoku by Koujima Nazuki. I thought I owned volume 5 (where real sex happens...I think?), but I couldn't find it. I'm starting to think maybe I just read it in a bookstore in Japan and didn't bother buying it or something. In any case, even being the manga packrat that I am, I seriously don't know if I want to keep it. It just doesn't quite do it for me, and the art isn't my favorite. I really hate it that the side characters are a thousand times more interesting than the main pair. I am very much a main and/or first pairing in a BL manga type of person. The fact that the secondary pairings overshadow the main one is very disappointing to me.
I also read Sore wa yappari ai kamone by Yamakami Riyu (Currently being scanlated). I have to admit that I love Yamakami Riyu. I buy everything she ever puts out, even though I know sometimes her comics are total duds. There's just something about her art and the way her characters act that really appeals to me. This one I hadn't read in a while, and it made me laugh. I love the strict, extremely uptight uke. And I couldn't help but compare him to Tezuka...I guess because the uke was raised in a very formal, strict home and I can only imagine Tezuka's family being fairly formal and strict. Maybe that's why he's so damn stoic? I mean, obviously he's on the stoic side by nature, but his upbringing just...polished that part of him? In any case, back to the manga. I like the opposites pairing, and that the uke is all for sex...as long as it's not in some inappropriate place. XD
