The newest VF chapter has been scanned in and posted. Wow, that was pretty fast. Last chapter took longer, I think. Well, better for me since I don't have to die from anticipation. Now that I've read it, I'm satisfied.


The cover was very pretty. Love the angsty words splashed across the page. It's what was on the preview for BBG, I think. Someone in one of the comms noted that the pose they are in is much like how Asami and Akihito would be. Totally true. Plus, I love Fei's gloves.

Fei looking aroused was hot. Wow. I like how TALKY Akihito and Fei are during sex. Asami isn't about talk, he's about action, but Fei seems to like to chat. Though in this case mostly gloating over how he's been able to steal Akihito away before Asami could train him properly. I guess he sucks at blowjobs? He needed the help with the blindfold, which was funny. I love how Akihito hasn't lost his snark. He thinks snarky things and even SAYS snarky things at Fei. The whole you can't say someone is yours when you're just forcing him, which Fei comes back with and you think Asami loves you or something? Has he ever said he loves you? NO!!! Akihito you must not doubt the YAKUZA LURV! Oh, and the curve of Akihito's back as he blows Fei was very pretty. They do make a nice picture, if anything.

I miss Tao. But at least he was mentioned once.

I love how the tattoo doesn't come up until that one scene where it makes the stupid goon hesitate over shooting him. Yes, idiot goon, Akihito is "Fei's."

The new Russian (or whatever) guy? What's up with that hair? ICK. The subordinate who seems to be kind of assigned to Akihito (probably because he can speak Japanese?) is hot, though. He needs a name.

The ending made me laugh. Which is why I'm not posting my reaction to any comm, since everyone seems to take things very seriously. So Akihito finds his bloody shirt, remembers Asami telling him to get away, and thinks how Asami isn't like Fei (OMG HE LOVES ME YES HE DOES SCREW FEI TRYING TO TELL ME IT'S NOT SO) so wants to hurry up and get back to Japan BACK TO ASAMI??? Okaaay, I suppose Asami looks good when you're stuck with talky Chinese mafia boss dude that insists on trying to put you down with words as well as action, but still?

I suppose Asami could love Akihito, but I'm not going to swallow that whole quite yet. *shrugs*

Hm. Good thinky thoughts. I also like the subordinate taking care of Akihito. I take it you don't ship Asami/Takaba? Or rather than you don't think Asami is capable of loving him/ it's not a pairing that makes sense? I've sorta figured that practicality in yaoi love relationships is out the window. Romanticizing your rapist is like sexual Stockholm Syndrome, but it's a well-established pattern in fandom, so I swallowed the Asami/Takaba love hook, line, and sinker, the minute Akihito hid behind Asami's back when Fei shot at him. And I knew it was reciprocated when Asami carried Akihito to bed after screwing him on the counter. But I know better than to think that makes the remotest sense. ^_^;;

I totally ship Asami/Takaba and love the manga (I devour BL novels daily, after all, and those are just as bad regarding cliches and stereotypes), but a part of me can't help but be cynical and point stuff out. ^^;

I almost agree, though I couldn't contain my fangirling over Takaba maybe loving Asami. I know it's not rational at all. Though Asami is going to get Takaba back tamed, having feelings for him and able to give good blow jobs. Asami might die of a heart attack.

Fei is so uke though. He's not fooling anyone.

The new guy - Asami in a bad wig. I don't even like Fei and as of now, I wouldn't be able to stand that couple. :D

Fei can be either seme or uke for me. But then, I don't care about him enough to, well, care about that kind of thing much anyhow.

I hope the new guy doesn't appear much. Or gets a decent haircut first if he does. :P
