The April Pafu also had (as they do every year) a short survey that quite a number of manga artists reply to. I thought the first question was kind of interesting, to see what some of my favorite artists were into. There were A LOT of manga mentioned that I had never heard of and didn't know how to romanize. Oh boy did that turn into a hassle. :P In any case, after a while I got lazy and didn't type out every artist I recognized. Lots of BL artists, a couple of shonen and shoujo thrown in.
Abe Miyuki (Hakkenden):
I read a lot as usual. The last movie I saw last year, "Arashi no you ni," was visually pretty and cute. Especially Mei!! I loved the picture book it was based on, so I was happy at the film adaptation. As for anime, "Eureka 7" and "Mushishi" I suppose.
Ayamine Rando (Get Backers):
Manga:
"Taishi kakka no ryorinin"
"Nodame Kantabire"
Novels:
"Chocolate koujou no himitsu"
"Tokyo Tower" by Lily Franky
Arakawa Hiromu (FMA):
Manga: "Ugokiman", "Emma"
Anime: "THE WORLD OF GOLDEN EGGS"
Movies: "The Incredibles", "Hitler ~The Last 12 Days"
Eiki Eiki (Train Train):
Anime=Gundam Seed Destiny
Movie=Z Gundam
Manga=I read a lot of doujinshi...
(Her reply to the second question is too funny to not be mentioned: Q: Please tell us what you are addicted to now (person, thing, anything is OK). A: I am too in love with Athrun Zala, it's dangerous. XDXD)
Ozaki Minami (BRONZE):
"Mayonaka no Yaji-san Kita-san" This is the pure love story movie of opposites!! It's too funny.
"Mr. & Mr. Smith" It was so intense I laughed. The end was good, too. It's so cool when the woman is strong!!
CLAMP (Tsubasa):
Movie "ALWAYS sanchoume no yuuhi"
Kouga Yun (LOVELESS):
"NANA" (Note: WTF does "コミコミ" mean?)
"Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro"
