the evils of CLAMP

I read in ayatsujik's LJ that CLAMP was going to be suspending work on Tsubasa and xxxHOLIC in January, and I was ready to be very upset (...finish...X....damnit...you can kill them all...just make it glorious...just finish it...), but I checked their website to see with my own eyes. When I looked at the schedule, it looks like for Tsubasa they are taking a break for most of January but coming back at the end of it. xxxHOLIC won't be out all of January, but I'm hoping that just means they are taking a break for a month and coming back...I'm not going to go into a rage just yet...

In more positive news, I guess I misunderstood the information about the movie coming out...so it's going to be a xxxHOLIC movie with no date yet and a Tsubasa anime on TV in April...I hope the storylines kick ass, but at least the art will be nice. All of their recent animated endeavours have been lovely to look at with excellent voice actor choices, though the contents have been varied...

It's hard being a fan of theirs. They have such lovely art, they can do such lovely angst or such lovely should-be-sickening-but-isn't sweetness, have some really cool ideas and premises and characters and all that...but then they take on a zillion projects at once, don't finish some, allow the X movie to exist...*sigh*

In other news, I didn't realize Kirai Kiraimo was being scanlated (by Countless Time). I really like this one volume manga, because I love the art (Tateno Makoto!) and the story is just plain cute. ^_^ The seme and uke are so cliched, but that doesn't stop me from liking them. A lot.
