Haru 37 "Jamais Vu" Summary

I guess being sick is worth something. Been pretty sick these past two days with a cold that came with a mean headache...which meant mostly no computer for me (computer screens and pounding headaches do not mix in my book), but today the headache part is mostly gone with the normal cold stuff left...So I'm left at home with nothing to do but lie around...so why not summarize, right? It took kind of a long time, actually. My summarizing skills suck. :P In any case, here's my rather detailed summary of Haru wo Daiteita part 37...

Haru 35 "After Puppet Mate" Summary

Ugh...I hate the ups and downs of being sick. You feel good for a while, then you feel miserable. >_< In any case, things are out of order and jumbled up, but here's another summary of a Haru wo Daiteita chapter. ^_^ It really feels like there should be something before this chapter with them in the bar, which is why when they refer to things it didn't quite make sense to me (and thus the summary is a bit hazy at those points). :P

Hikago fanart

I was doing my usual rounds of Japanese fanfic sites, and a fic previously posted at one Hikago site, 集まいのひろば, was reposted with some pictures based on it contributed by a great fanartist...and the pics are super nice!

The short story is called 映画 (eiga, means "movie") and is an AU where Akira is a go player and Hikaru is a random gayboy (this author likes to make one of them gay and the other straight in AUs for some reason) who comes onto Akira in a theatre that is a hangout for gay guys which he had entered by accident...it's actually a very adorable story and there is also a sweet pic of a kiss later on in the fic...

I checked out the artist's webpage, ゲンコロボタマチ, and discovered more very pretty (and wonderfully colored) art. :D There are a whole bunch of small b&w pics as well, including really cute pics of Hikaru as Naruto. There are also a few nice FMA pics as well.

Speaking of great Hikago art, yesterday I (finally) received my newest Hikago doujinshi from 片翼の天使 (some scans and fangirl squeeing over other doujinshi by this circle previously in this post) and it was a really funny gag one where a bunch of the young go players go on a retreat in an isolated cottage...and people think that the sounds of Akira and Hikaru having sex are ghosts...really damn funny stuff. :D

random things that amused me

From some random spam email I got the other day:

A police officer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street. "But officer." the man began, "I can explain,". "Just be quiet," snapped the officer. "I'm going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back..." "But officer, I just wanted to say...." "And I said to keep quiet! You're going to jail!" A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said, "Lucky for you that the chief is at his daughter's wedding. He'll be in a good mood when he gets back." "Don't count on it," answered the fellow in the cell. "I'm the groom."

Amazing that I got something that wasn't totally worthless from spam. ^_^ Of course, there was some lame "More" link in the email, but I wasn't stupid amused enough to click on it.

From a journal entry titled 「あにぷり……」 of a fanfic site I often visit but never read the journal of (until today):

先週からずっと思ってたんだけど……
いっていいのかどうかわからなかったけど……
不二さまが目一杯攻めなのは嬉しい。
が。
手塚は受けだった。
しかも、愛らしい。
……部長……（笑）

Don't really know why it amuses me, but it does...*shrug*

In any case, I think sleeping for two hours really helped me. I feel better. Maybe I can actually go to work tomorrow! (Yay?)
