Damn Hikago is on my brain thanks to the flist [livejournal.com profile] blind_go mania and my finishing up of the doujinshi organization and discovering a full extra box of Hikago stuff. I found an extra copy of an Akihika doujinshi I rather like. I decided (in a fit of late night madness) to scan it and share. It turned out to be fairly long and it took forever to scan (or at least felt like it). Since I had another copy I felt comfortable squishing it down onto the scanner bed more than usual...but I still couldn't bend it (or take it apart) to get really good scans. :P

I like it because a) the art is pretty and b) there isn't enough stuff based on the Heian AU game. I love the details of the clothing and scenery, and the characters' expressions.

The doujinshi is called Kai (at least I think so...the character is "imashimeru," to admonish or warn, but I went with the on-yomi in this case) by the circle Rakuengun. I got lazy over the translation and didn't do a lot of the sfx. Any suggestions for English equivalents would be appreciated.

Came across a bunch of pretty postcards by Kaori Wakamatsu from Tokyu Hands and decided to scan some of them. She has more pictures on her website Graffiti Bunny.

Life After Hokuto by lachesis33 is a gen Hikago WIP set after the Hokuto Cup. While I have some minor problems with word choice (particularly the adjectives) and grammar, overall I throughly enjoyed what I read and look forward to more. The characters feel solid and their interactions authentic. The author's descriptions of games are pretty exciting, too.

A Brother's Love by [livejournal.com profile] kessie is a fairly plausible PoT/Loveless crossover featuring creepy creepy Seimei and creeped out Ryoma and family. Even Karupin avoids Seimei!

Kiss Me Here, Please by Yamada Sakurako is a cute story about a sempai/kouhai relationship (scans on [livejournal.com profile] crimsonevening: parts 1 and 2). I think I'd like this a lot if I read it in Japanese, so I'll probably pick this manga up at some point. Unfortunately the English was a bit difficult to read and understand for me.

Yay! There are direct downloads for Lunar's sub of Ouran 25 over here at [livejournal.com profile] anime_yousendit (but that means only one more left? ;_;).

And speaking of direct downloads, [livejournal.com profile] prillalar has uploaded PoT OVAs 6 & 7 in this squee-filled spoiler post. I do want to see them but the files are encoded with WMV9 which I've never gotten to work. :P

Koi wa Keiyaku no Ato de (Love After the Contract) by Maruya Kae is a BL manga with some pretty nice art. The guys have solid bodies but still very pretty, and the story is starting out very sweet. I've only seen the first post at [livejournal.com profile] crimsonevening but it looks promising. XD

I finally caught up with the most recent xxxHOLIC and had to babble a bit. )

I haven't kept up with Tsubasa at all. I kind of lost interest because I couldn't feel anything for the characters. The art is pretty, I love seeing people from other series in different worlds, the stories are pretty interesting...but that's all. They're interesting but not...enthralling for me. I should pick up the last several tankobons and just read through them.
