Fun interview with mega-baseball fan Zack Hample on NPR. Lots of random trivia and one great moment. The interviewer asked why baseball fields weren't all uniform in size. After a slight pause, Zack replied "Because baseball is beautiful." I love pure fan love, it is beautiful.

hanaya no nikai de

I scanned and uploaded scene 10 of the BL manga Hanaya no nikai de by Sugano Akira and illustrated by Ninomiya Etsumi for canis_m. It is rather long (46 pages long!!) so I decided against uploading and posting individual scans and uploaded the zip to Savefile.

What I know about the manga:

a) it's part of a series called "Mainichi Seiten!"
b) there are four orphaned brothers
c) they are gay XD
d) but not for each other =(
e) the series shifts focus among the four and their prospective lovers
f) there are a lot of volumes with different titles that come before Hanaya no nikai de (which has a volume out already and volume 2 is coming out 8/25)
g) the art is very pretty

I may be wrong about all of these things (except for the last one, because that's my personal opinion formed while staring at the art while scanning the chapter in), but I've never read this series so I'm only going on hearsay.

Does anyone else want something scanned from the August Chara? I bought the damn thing and want to get all I can out of it before I toss it...
