from a place far far away...
Aug. 29th, 2007 05:19 pmI have internet access but it is slow and expensive. This is frustrating. I love traveling, but the things that I miss right now:
1. Fast and inexpensive internet access. (It's pathetic how much I miss it...)
2. My laptop.
3. My own room (my roommates are cool, but still...).
4. Decent BL novels. I can't believe the ones I brought with me to read all turned out to suck pretty hard. I don't think they are even worth talking about, they are so bleah. -_-
5. Real Asian food. Any place that can't use the right kind of rice gets an automatic fail in my book.
LJ loads horribly slow here so I probably won't update again until I get home, especially since I can't even really check the flist...if anyone's left on LJ...I hope there wasn't any new blow-up causing more people to jump ship recently...
One thing I did notice that I need to really curtail, is this horrible tendency to stop thinking about how much things really cost when buying things overseas. Seriously, I don't even blink paying through the nose for stuff that I'd just...sputter at back home. But I suppose it's hard to know what's average so I can't tell if I'm getting gouged or if things are just scary expensive where I am...
