I tried reading Dekiru otoko no sodatekata by Yamato Nase and was met by epic fail. Sometimes her characters and plotlines just seem stupid and lame...This was one of them. The uke is just on the side of dopey. The seme is amusing since he just turns into loopy when it comes to the uke, but he's still kind of annoying. I like the chef dude (who I keep thinking is a woman...he is a man, right?). He is the most normal and solid of the bunch.

Totally Captivated is heading towards conflict with the gang and I'm not sure if I like it. That ambitious dude is super annoying and I'm wondering what will happen with the big boss dude. I like how things are between Ewon and Mookyul right now, but these external issues will probably make things not so good. :P I don't think the artist is good with angst and it feels like that's where it's heading towrds. I particularly loved Ewon imagining Mookyul with the expensive ring on his finger and getting a nosebleed. And Mookyul being tender is rather sweet, especially since most of the time he's just plain bossy. I loved how he'd harassed Ewon day and night to say "I love you"...even during sex. XD

Took the test floating around on the flist, did decently. I realized I made several stupid mistakes when I looked at the answer key. I should've taken the test more slowly. :P

I finally made lemonade using simple syrup from this recipe, and wished I'd done it earlier. It was so easy! My goodness, fresh lemonade is wonderful on hot, humid days. Especially when they don't cost $2-$2.50 per glass. XDXD I also managed to use up most of the extra brown sugar I had laying around from another recipe, to boot. That's why the lemonade is a bit darker than normal. I put it in a lovely (and heavy) glass pitcher we "discovered" forgotten in a random cabinet this morning. One nice thing about cleaning out is the many fabulous finds you can find in your own home.

Now I want to try common variations such as ginger or mint lemonade. They sound so refreshing!

In less happy news, one of our neighbors is throwing a big party. Nothing wrong with that, right? Except that they are singing karaoke outdoors with the volume turned WAY UP. It's been going on for hours, and from past experience it will continue for several more hours. I don't understand why these people have no shame at all, subjecting several blocks of homes on a Saturday to their godawful singing (with MIDI music, no less!). Wish it wasn't so hot so that we could close up all the doors and windows and maybe lessen the noise.

On a related note, a car with a seriously augmented audio system drove behind me for several blocks today. It wasn't just loud. It had such major bass that it was sending pressure waves in all directions (at least, that's what it felt like) and causing actual pain in my head and ears. I've never had this experience before and can't believe that thing isn't illegal. -_-
