I got to make a naturally dyed easter egg at the natural food store today! You tightly tie leaves to a raw egg using a piece of nylon mesh, then boil it in water colored with onion skin. Mine is the one on the left....er...the other left. XD I love the gradations in color and the delicate patterns on them. XD List of homemade Natural Easter Egg Dyes! And more really stunning naturally dyed eggs.

I only vaguely remember making brightly colored eggs using those commercially available kits and using those eggs in easter egg hunts as a child...Wow, it's been a while. ^^;

While the weather doesn't change from season to season much here, just the fact that Easter is approaching makes it feel like spring somehow.

I want to make more eggs, too. Too late for this year, but maybe next year...

I'd never even heard of Shamrock Shakes before, so I didn't know the truth of the claim...

Happy Easter ^__^

Huh! We dye easter eggs with onion skin every year, and then sometimes (if we can be bothered to do it *g*) make patterns by scraping the dye off, which takes hours... this idea is so simple! And the results look awesome! :) Will have to try it next year :) thanks for the tip :)
