Obotchama ni wa wakarumai by Kohzuki Matsuri and illustrated by Takatsuki Noboru is a fluffy happy story of a hard-working (soft) porn star/salaryman/tissue distributor who picks up a lost and forlorn rich boy. Er...I was only going to do a quick summary, but I went into a lot more detail...so under the cut it goes! Basically this is a cute and silly romance between two adorably off-beat characters. I'm sad that despite having written a lot more than I thought I would, I cut out so many really cute and silly details. ;_; This is totally worth reading for those into fluff. The art is very pretty, as well.



Touenji Hirochika is the youngest son of a VERY rich and powerful family. He's been cosseted his entire life. After he had graduated college he spent a year doing work around the house. He decides that he wants to go out and experience the world and be exposed to all it's harsh coldness. He convinces his overprotective parents and brothers to let him live on his own...Though he initially lives in a luxurious condo set up by the butler. But one day he finds some abandoned kittens and tries to take them back to his place. Unfortunately his condo doesn't allow pets, so he wanders around lost and confused. He's nearly picked up by various dangerous people, rescued each time by Asano Shinri. Shinri'd been working at his part-time job handing out tissues and sees the hapless Hirochika almost get suckered into a shady job. He warns Hirochika to be careful, but Hirochika again is nearly pulled into something shady after they part. After he saves Hirochika the second time, Hirochika follows him home. Shinri grumbles at Hirochika, but eventually lets Hirochika stay at his place. Hirochika is enamored of Shinri's dilapidated apartment because it fits his image of the "typical" Japanese apartment (a bunch of crap the butler's assistant had told him in jest).

Shinri also works at a regular job...doing...I don't remember what. In any case, he's a typical salaryman for the most part. He also happens to star in a very popular soft-pron video series called "Prince of the Night" produced by the company he works at. He is incredibly cheap, trying to save money to retire early to an island in the south. He scolds Hirochika constantly for "wasting money" (by having the lights on during the day, leaving the TV on too long, etc etc). Hirochika is like a big puppy, wanting to be of use to Shinri. In the beginning his attempts to "help" just leads to more scolding (a pampered rich boy is not going to do the laundry properly the first time, after all). He finally is able to "help" Shinri--one morning when he tries to wake Shinri up, Shinri, in a sleepy daze, grabs him and rubs his morning wood against him. Hirochika is at first taken aback, but is quickly aroused. When he grabs Shinri's dick, Shinri wakes up. Shinri tries to get away but Hirochika claims he can't stop. Hirochika tells Shinri that his heart went pitter-patter at Shinri's sexy expression. He declares that he will strive to become more skillful and pleasure Shinri even more. Shinri, naturally, doesn't want any of that. He tells Hirochika to have sex with someone he loves and leave him alone.

At work, Shinri is told that they want to do a gay version of the "Prince of the Night" series. Shinri is very happy to do it when he learns that he'll get extra money for it. He's willing to (pretend to) fuck a guy for money even if he's not gay. It's all the same in the end, right? He gets the script and is told there will be an audition in three weeks for the other guy. That night Shinri gets the bright idea of having Hirochika help him with his new video. He wants to "practice" the role as he's never done a video with a guy before. He learns, however, that he's the one who's going to get fucked. He's not happy, but they start going through the script. Hirochika gets to play the role of the "Mysterious Bishounen." Shinri gets aroused by HIrochika's caresses, leading Hirochika to give up on the script and just make Shinri come.

They practice the lines another night. Hirochika asks if Shinri isn't embarrassed saying lines such as "I didn't know such pleasure existed in the world...I can't live without you anymore" and "Deeper, harder...I'm your love slave." Shinri can't help but laugh because Hirochika speaks the lines in a monotone. They wonder if what is supposed to be gay melodrama is actually a comedy. The conversation turns towards Hirochika insisting that he loves Shinri. He wants to hold Shinri in his arms and never let him go. Shinri, on the other hand, is much more realistic. He points out some hard truths, concluding that Hirochika is just a kid who thinks he's in love because Shinri is taking care of him.

Though Shinri said some severe things to Hirochika, he realizes that Hirochika is rather dear to him. When his boss figures that he's having love problems Shinri has to admit it...He's in love. When he gets home, he is confronted by Hirochika insisting that it *is* love. Hirochika proclaims that it was love at first sight! Shinri gives in and they have sex. Afterwards, Hirochika laughs that Shinri has tatami marks on his face. Shinri feels so good...He sadly wishes that they could always be like this. He knows they live in different worlds.

Time passes, and Hirochika slowly learns to be useful out of bed as well. The day of the audition comes. Shinri will be attending the audition as he will have a say on who will be his partner. Hirochika decides to make Shinri lunch and take it to him...The butler's assistant who watches over him trails him as he rides on the train for the first time, delighted when Hirochika figures out things such as that he needs to take the ticket back once he goes through the gate. At Shinri's company, the two are mistaken for people coming for audition. The audition hadn't gone well, as no one who had showed up worked out. But the women go ga-ga over Hirochika and the butler's assistant. Shinri, of course, is adamant that neither will be in a (soft) porn video. Hirochika is willing. He wants to work and learn more about the world. He wants to be of even more use to Shinri. Shinri exclaims that he's taught Hirochika plenty about the world--such as the fact that some things are cheaper in supermarkets than in 100 yen shops, how side dishes are discounted 10 minutes before closing, etc. etc. He takes Hirochika out to eat lunch, telling Hirochika that he's perfectly happy with Hirochika just as he is. When Hirochika asks how lunch tastes, Shiri tells him that it's pretty bad. He explains how to make it corrrectly, but praises him for doing a not absolutely horrendous job for his first time.

Hirochika's mother is lonely for her youngest son. She decides to play a trick to get him to come back and fakes a collapse. Hirochika is rushed home by the butler's assistant without leaving a decent note. When Hirochika finds out that his mother faked a collapse, he gets mad. He needs to go back to Shinri! Hirochika's mother is at first upset that Hirochika is in love with a man (I didn't go through the pain of childbirth for my son to be gay!), but quickly changes her tune when she sees a picture of Shinri. She recognizes him as the "Prince of the Night!" Hirochika's father and brothers, who'd always been advocates of free love and had acknowledged Hirochika's choice of love, has no idea what she's talking about. Shinri, for his part, finds the note and thinks that Hirochika's left for good. He's rather depressed but knows there's not much he can do to get Hirochika back. When Hirochika does come back, Shinri is cold to him at first. But Shinri bursts into tears. He doesn't want Hirochika to ever go away. They make up and slide into a lovey-dovey mood, but are interrupted by the butler and his assistant. Shinri is invited to Hirochika's house.

The household is ready to welcome Shinri with flowers and a joyful "Congratulations!" But the preparations are for naught when the maids see Shinri. They shriek that it's the Prince! In real life! They try to touch him, but they are warned off by Hirochika. Shinri is HIS! Shinri is horribly embarrassed but is surprised at how warm the gazes of Hirochika's family and servants on him are.

Shinri eventually quits his job and goes to work for one of the companies under Hirochika's name. Hirochika's mother is delighted at the gorgeous son-in-law Hirochika has bagged and has them over for tea constantly. Hirochika's father is delighted at how good with money Shinri turns out to be. Hirochika and Shinri live happily together, with Hirochika gaining a lot of confidence. He's able to tease Shinri in bed, knowing how to make Shinri wild.

I totally forgot to mention of the kitten that had first led Hirochika to wander the streets. He initially tries to name her "Francis," but Shinri tells Hirochika that Francis is too much of a name for a cat and decides that her name will be "Ume." Hirochika is disappointed but obeys Shinri. There's also a lot of hilarious stuff with the butler's assistant that I left out...
