Royal Fiancee

Royal Fiancee by Asuma Risai and illustrated by Kamon Saeki is new series with one chapter published right now. It's about a high school student who drops out of school to become a housekeeper and finds out that he's in fact going to be the fiancee of a prince of a foreign country. It seems thoroughly cliched and silly, but the art is very pretty. The student is very soft and feminine looking, but the prince looks good in his uniform. And it features a man-bride! I am confused as to the reason for the "buttage" on the cover page. What it evokes is so incongruous with the actual manga...^^;

The next chapter should be out in early June, I hope it gets posted somewhere...



I'm hoping the student isn't as stupid as he seems. He actually took a job from some random man on the street. And he apparently signed a contract--did he bother reading it at all? And the whole idea of him quitting school and getting a job to help out the dorm mother who'd helped him out after he'd been orphaned is ludicrous. On top of that, the prince had gone to the same school and they'd met once. Student had sweetly wished the prince well, not knowing that they were going to cross paths again. Unfortunately, the prince now thinks that student is a gold-digger as he'd asked for an advance on his pay and that the student was faking sweetness. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't some meanness in store for the student...

And yet I still want to read more. Because the art is pretty. And I'm a sucker for man-brides. XD;

I just hope there is no rape and then falling in love. XD That's all I'm hoping for.

I think there's a more than 50% chance of rape. Frankly, I'd think it's more than 70%. But you never know, right? :P
