Mori wo deru houhou by Hizaki Yuu and illustrated by Tomoe Sato is a total waste of time. It's about a good-looking but ordinary salaryman who is mistaken for a prostitute and fucked by some guy one night. He tries to forget the awful (yet oh-so-pleasurable) experience, but unfortunately he finds out that the bad bad man will be his new stepbrother upon his mother's marriage. Angst, and convoluted and strained relations ensue. Doesn't help that stepbrother, who is a photographer working overseas a lot, decides to live at salaryman's apartment when in Japan. Guess what happens? We learn stepbrother has childhood trauma and angst (and is a sensitive and special snowflake under all that jackass--he takes such pretty photographs! How can he be totally awful??), and of course salaryman is the one who opens his heart. Salaryman just can't totally hate the guy, because he's a frickin stupid uke who can't recognize assholerly when fucked by it.

Why am I bothering to post about it? I like the art. A lot. But not enough to provide commentary on the pics. ^^;

Please tell me more about how the seme is still a jerk and a creep at the end so I won't waste my time reading it expecting him to turn sweet. >.< (If he's a complete a-hole the entire time and then turns sweet on the last three pages, I'm a goner.)

The thing about this story is that the seme wasn't an overwhelming presence in it. At least, from my quick reading of it. It seemed more into the uke's inner turmoil, which became very lame very quickly for me. Maybe I didn't give the book enough of a chance, as I prefer my asshole semes to be more consistently aggressive rather than have the uke angst too much on his own.

Another book with an asshole seme by the same author that I like a lot better is Amakunakutemo (check out my review here (http://insaneneko.livejournal.com/305299.html#cutid1)).

Non-con based on misunderstanding + abject apologies from seme when he figures out his mistake = WIN. It's a lot harder for me to forgive a seme who is just a stupid jerk and never figures out what a jerk he really is.

Yes, I do love a mean seme who realizes just how mean and bad he is and makes it all up at the end. There are too many stories where the uke just ends up caving in and falling in love with the bastard who has raped and/or harassed them with no repentance by the semes.
