I really really really like the manga Honto Yajuu (volumes 1 and 2) by Yamamoto Kotetsuko. It's about the romance between a yakuza with a cute face but an old fashioned mind-set and a very composed policeman. They meet when policeman happens to catch the thief who'd stolen yakuza's underwear. The yakuza falls for policeman at first sight, and hangs around him until the policeman inevitably falls for him too. It's all so incredibly unrealistic, but so sweet! The two of them are adorable and are very enthusiastic about each other. Even the other characters, from the other policeman who works with the seme to the yakuza's father, are fun. From quickly glancing at the author's afterward in volume 2, it sounds like this series will continue...I really hope so.




Yakuza has absolutely awful taste in clothing. When policeman tries to get him to get casual clothes because yakuza in suit scares everyone, yakuza picks out the ugliest outfit in the store. The employee behind policman is horrified and wonders if they actually carried such awful clothing...




I love policeman squashing the bird in his hand that represents his reason/self-control when yakuza sends him off to work so adorably. This happens kind of a lot. XD;





I like it when authors do another panel following up on covers or chapter title pages, and this one is particularly great. I love how the yakuza is always ready for sex. I like enthusiastic and aggressive ukes who actually enjoy sex instead of acting like shameful blushing virgins.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting about this series. Finally got my hands on it last night and it's just as good as you made it sound. (Adorablest. Yakuza. EVER.) Gotta hunt down the drama CD now...XD

Also, looks like volume 3 is coming out Feb 10th. YAY!
