Takano: VALENTINE SUCKS GODDAMMIT.
I really liked the work related stuff in this episode. I really feel for Ritsu, especially when he talks about not knowing if he's doing things right and just how stressful and confusing it is. I can so relate. Can't relate with Takano's confidence, frankly.
Though overall I like the opening sequence of the first season, I do like this shot of Yukina and Kisa. When are we getting an episode with them??
Takano: YOU FAIL.
I know I"ve mentioned this before, but I seriously dislike Takano's mentoring technique. I do not want a boss like that!
Takano looks oddly young this entire episode. His face looks thin?
I just like this shot. Ritsu's not blushing!
Ritsu blanching at Takano's fabulous handling of a manga artist.
I love this face! Also, I can so relate with you Ritsu. Seeing Takano bluntly insult an artist does not help. I know Takano did provide some explaination earlier, but the insulting tone he takes is just...arg. Especially considering Ritsu's personality. But then, Ritsu does talk back quite a bit...
I like Ritsu's face as he talks to An. He obviously likes her a lot, if not romantically.
I don't like An's voice. Too high and cutesy? She already looks cute and young, I don't think she needs a voice to match.
Poor Ritsu, being called a nanahikari yet again....
No clue why I took this screenshot!
So serious!
Kiss!
I love Takano taking Ritsu's hand to force him to join him that night. So cute!
And Ritsu (naturally...instinctively?) resisting!
But unable to shake the hand!
Why does Takano look so...peaceful? It's just so odd.
Ritsu at Takano's door. You really need to look into your heart and realize the truth there, my dear.
I love love love this look. Ritsu, be more frantic!
Takano looks surprised! His voice as he tells Ritsu to let go was lovely in it's dryness.
Ritsu can't let go! This is when you wish he was more honest with himself. His actions here are just...so...so...
This shot pissed me of because it raised my hopes.
Only to dash them to the ground and STOMP ON THEM. I hate hate hate this non-sex. It's just plain ridiculous! All the intimate scenes end up quite bleah because there is no urgency, no passion. It just ends up sappy and silly. ;_;
LOL
LOLOL
Go Ritsu! Work it! Make the artist mad!
LOLOL
Once again I wonder: How did the other editors survive Takano? Or were they already experienced by the time they encountered him? Takano fails so hard as a boss in so many ways it boggles my mind. It might be funny, but I can't help wince a lot.

Date: 2011-11-11 02:02 pm (UTC)re: Takano's crappy training method - Takano is younger than most of the other people there, right? (Younger or maybe same age?) So Ritsu is probably the first person he had to train. Or rather, the first person he trained who is still there. I bet he went through about 10 other dudes with his crappy training and they quit in disgust.
I am so with you on the bed scene in this episode. Would it have been too hard for that last shot to be of them naked? Can we at least IMPLY that they had sex? Honestly, who are they protecting with this nonsense?
Also, speaking of no passion, did you notice how gently Takano pushed Ritsu up against the door? It was like...slow motion or something. :/

Themselves, apparently, because they aren't protecting anyone else. The audience can pick up the manga and see just how much sex these people actually have. *sighs*
Re: the door thing, I totally agree. All of the things that should be done with more oomph are done in slow motion. Okay when it's supposed to be slow motion and romantic, but not when it's supposed to feel frenetic. All the energy and wildness is sucked out of those types of scenes. GAH.
