There had been news this week that a 10-year-old girl had been taken to the hospital on the Big Island and child abuse was suspected...today there was a front page article on the afternoon daily. I stopped and read the article because of the headline that was in huge, bold letters: "They would hit her all the time. She was like a little punching bag." What blows my mind is that this quote is from a neighbor...so this neighbor saw this abuse happening and never called the cops?? They let this girl stay in that home until she was so badly hurt that the abusers called the ambulance??

It sickens me when I hear news like this.

There should exist a law for non-assistance to child in danger. This way that woman who was too lazy and heartless to not help a child would go visit the inside of a prison for a while...

I'm with you... people who abuse children should be thrown in jail and we should throw the key.
