I was randomly flipping through Sore wa yappari ai kamo ne by Yamakami Riyu when I came across a funny exchange between the uptight guy who likes to uphold the rules and his carefree boyfriend when the boyfriend tries to kiss the uptight guy.

Uptight guy: I told you not to do stuff like this at school!
Boyfriend: Why not? We haven't kissed in three days!
Uptight guy: Illicit relations between those of the opposite sex (a set phrase) are forbidden at school! It's common knowledge!
Boyfriend: We're having relations between those of the same sex, aren't we?
Uptight guy: It's the same thing!!

I love the play on words. Go carefree boyfriend! I have to admit that I own a lot of manga by Yamakami Riyu. I don't think her stories, characters, or art are particularly fabulous. I just like her manga. It's almost a guilty pleasure (though not quite because I don't think her stuff is crap). I haven't bought anything by her in quite a while. I'll have to take a look at what she's done recently...
