I was on such a happy crack filled high since yesterday, but then I read the most...sad?...depressing?...ăă€ăȘă? fanfics and that just brought my mood down (but in a good way because I'm an angst whore, but the plunge from total insane silliness is a bit hard on the system).
TO FIT WITH MY MOOD, DOES ANYONE HAVE APPROPRIATELY SAD AND DEPRESSING (YET UTTERLY BEAUTIFUL) MUSIC TO SHARE?
As for me...
For something recent: Breathe Me by Sia [Lyrics]
And for a classic: Koibito yo by Itsuwa Mayumi [Lyrics]
For some reason I couldn't find a translation for this song...I used to nearly sob as a child listening to this song because not only does it sound so SAD and YEARNING and DYING and her voice is low and amazing and perfect, the words are just as bad. It's the imagery of the runner going past, the shooting star and the fallen leaves foretelling a cold tomorrow...thus...
The evening in which the dead leaves fall
Speak of the chill of the coming day
On the bench broken by the rain
There isn't even a song whispering love
My lover
Be with me
Be with me, I who am freezing
And one thing
Please laugh and say
That this talk of leaving me
Is a joke
A marathoner runs quickly past on the gravel path
Tempting me, I who am stopped as though longing for oblivion
My lover
Goodbye
Though the seasons turn
The two of us that day
We were shooting stars in the early evening
A cruel dream that shines and disappears
My lover
Be with me
Be with me, I who am freezing
And one thing
Please laugh and say
That this talk of leaving me
Is a joke
