The Crown of the Summer Court by astolat is a fabulous Merlin fanfic--the only one that's taken my breath away so far. Many of my favorite authors have begun writing in this fandom, and while they were good stories they did not make my heart soar. Not like this one. Typical astolat mix of humor, drama, romance, wonder...

You are really really badddddddddd person, now you've got me into this fandom XD to think I was so innocent I even didn't know what Merlin (series) was just before reading your rec. No. My innocence (read. ignorance) is far more impressive, I've never been into a damn fandom before ^^;;
now you've got me watching Youtube episodes scraps and searching for Merlin fics T_T be responsible and recs me some more *sob*

Sorry I'm responding so late! I haven't read a whole lot in the fandom (or watched a single episode of the show), but I recommend checking out seperis's recs. Also, this post (http://loftily.livejournal.com/57810.html). So many good authors writing in this fandom!
