Nessa no ou to tsumetai tsuki by Shuhdoh Rena and illustrated by Takashina Yuh is another Arabian fantasy BL featuring a half-Caucasian blue-eyed Arabian prince, this time paired with an assassin pretending to be a prostitute in order to kill the prince's father. Instead of the assassin getting in bed with the father so that he can do his killing as planned, he gets routed to the son. They have hot sex. Assassin eventually realizes the prince must know he's not the simple prostitute he's pretending to be, sees the prince's invitation to the prince's country as a challenge and takes him up on it (and to get another chance to kill the father and fulfill his mission--failure is NOT an option!). They get to the prince's country where the assassin is suitably impressed by the decadence of the palaces. They have more hot sex. There's resolution of the entire assassination plot (the upshot is that the prime minister--or someone similarly high ranking--convinces the prince's older brother that the king doesn't care for him and will chose the prince as his successor. thus the prince's older brother decides to assassinate his father before the prince is officially designated as heir apparent. the prince learns of the plot and the pain in the older brother's soul due to their father's favoring of the prince and alerts his father. the king steps down and appoints the older brother as the next king, so the older brother calls off the assassination by yelling at the concealed assassin not to shoot!). The prince declares his love for the assassin and assures the assassin that he's paid of the big secret organization he's been part of almost his entire life so he's free to live a life of decadence and love with him...and they have hot sex. But the assassin slips out while the prince sleeps in order to leave the country and live on the run by himself. He knows far too well that the organization will never let him live, money or no money. He knows too much. He's chased down by the prince before reaching the airport, however. When he explains to the prince that his presence is just too dangerous, the prince responds that he understands the situation (sort of). He doesn't want to stop the assassin...he wants to go with the assassin and share his life as a fugitive! He's going to throw it all away and run away with the assassin! They will share love and danger to the very end! Can we say "awwww?"

Yes, it is totally silly book. But it was a fun read. And there were some pretty pics.
