Takaya's Revenge is the sequel to the special CD in DVD box, Part-time job hell tour, that dealt with Takaya attempting to pay back his bike loan and having to switch jobs thanks to the well-meaning (but completely unhelpful) Naoe and others not so well meaning. Takaya gets his revenge in this one. I've uploaded both:

Takaya's Revenge

I had initially translated the thing, but after poking at the translation for a while I realized it was a piece of crap that would take far too much work to polish into something decent so I gave up and summarized it instead:

Once again, the crack flows long and hard. I loved seeing Kousaka getting it this time, and how Takaya relishes rubbing the situation in. And Naoe getting his digs in so casually. XDXDXD

BTW, anyone who downloaded Violence na kimi ga suki the other day? There was an extra last bit that was just released. Download it here.

Shitsuji no tokken (Butler's privilege) by Eda Yuuri, the wonderful master-servant BL novel I went nuts over (in this post), was made into a cd drama. The drama is available for download here. Unfortunately, it's only so-so. I have to agree with some of the comments in the post that think the voice actors weren't the best choices for these roles. Otoya needs to be more aristocratic and haughty. Shinobu is also...somehow off to me. I'd think a lower (or more forceful) voice would have been better. And of course you only get bits and pieces of the novel and it ends up being a bit choppy.

But what makes the cd drama worth getting is the short story in the booklet, Aruji no tokken (Master's privilege). Set after the end of the novel, I squealed reading it. OMG it's so sweet!

On the other hand, Sonoyubi dake ga shitteiru 3: Kusuriyubi ga chinmokusuru (Only the ring finger 3: the ring finger is silent) drama cd (available here) is excellent. I enjoyed the scenes with Masanobu (I have a sort of summary of the book here, and a quick summary of the second cd drama here), especially his conversation with Yuuichi after he had kissed Wataru when he says who could he not fall in love after seeing Wataru cry for him? XD Listening to this really made me want MORE. When is the next book going to be published?? ;_;

I wasn't able to sleep last night, so I did the only logical thing I could: finish watching the OVA and write up a summary. God, I love this OVA. It is so bad, but endearing and absolutely hilarious. Midorikawa and Miki are perfect in their roles. I also did a summary of the first OVA.

I got the torrent, which includes both OVAs with Chinese subtitles in rmvb format, from [livejournal.com profile] oiyaoi. A link to the torrent on her blog. I hope to get an avi format version at some point.

WELL...I guess I liked it a lot (I should have realized it after my OVA reaction post as well as the post going off about the novels). For those who will download and watch the raw of Papa to Kiss in the Dark (torrent here) and can't understand Japanese, I have a wonderful present for you. I wasted several hours of my life doing a summary of this OVA. I hope it's useful to someone...

i can't believe i did this )

I also learned that OVA 2 comes out in Japan on 12/21. I can't believe I'm looking forward to seeing that, too. *sighs*

Edit: I love LJ. After posting this I checked the flist and discovered via [livejournal.com profile] bl_dramas a Megaupload link for both the OVA and the Character Song album here. The album includes the ending song for the OVA, which I've grown to like... XDXD

Edit 2: I don't know how I missed it, but I just discovered that the cd dramas are available at [livejournal.com profile] bl_dramas here.
